Core Responsibilities
- Install and connect substation equipment using approved electrical drawings and cable schedules.
- Inspect electrical tower line hardware using measuring tools and installation checklists.
- Lay and terminate UG power cables with crimping tools and insulation testers.
- Record test readings from multimeters and insulation resistance meters at site panels.
- Verify earthing systems using earth testers and grounding layout documents.
- Prepare site inspection records, test sheets, and commissioning documents.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Substation panels, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.
- Multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and earth resistance meters.
- UG cable laying tools, crimping kits, and termination accessories.
- Electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Commissioning checklists and electrical test reports.
Experience Context
- Work takes place at outdoor transmission sites, substations, and renewable energy locations.
