Core Responsibilities
- Inspect fabricated steel components using measuring gauges and inspection checklists.
- Record weld quality results in inspection test plans and QC logs.
- Verify raw material certificates against purchase specifications.
- Monitor painting thickness using DFT meters on coated members.
- Approve dispatch notes after dimensional and visual checks.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Vernier calipers, micrometers, and DFT gauges.
- Welding inspection methods and visual testing standards.
- Inspection Test Plans and QC formats.
- Material Test Certificates and compliance documents.
- Fabrication drawings and bill of materials.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out inside fabrication yards and coating areas.
- Daily handling of multiple fabricated members and batches.
- Absence leads to unchecked defects reaching client sites.
