Core Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory synthesis by weighing raw chemicals and charging glass reactors under controlled conditions.
- Monitor reaction stages using temperature probes, reflux setups, and sampling tools.
- Record laboratory trial observations in bound R&D notebooks and approved data sheets.
- Operate filtration units, rotary evaporators, and drying ovens for product isolation.
- Prepare trial samples and label containers for internal evaluation and scale-up reference.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Glass-lined reactors and laboratory synthesis setups
- Rotary evaporators and vacuum distillation units
- Analytical balances and temperature controllers
- R&D laboratory notebooks and experiment records
- Basic analytical testing methods
Experience Context
- Works inside chemical R&D laboratories located within a manufacturing plant.
- Handles multiple lab-scale trials supporting pilot and production batches.
- Without this role, new product development and scale-up pipelines stall.
