Core Responsibilities
- Collect wastewater samples from treatment units using sampling bottles and field logs.
- Record flow readings from online flow meters and transfer values into monitoring sheets.
- Prepare jar test setups with measuring cylinders and dosing equipment for treatability studies.
- Inspect aeration tanks, clarifiers, and filter beds during routine site rounds.
- Maintain compliance files containing consent conditions, monitoring data, and inspection notes.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- pH meters, DO meters, and turbidity meters.
- Effluent treatment plant layouts and piping drawings.
- Jar test apparatus and chemical dosing tools.
- Environmental monitoring registers and logbooks.
- Basic spreadsheet software for data recording.
Experience Context
- The role operates at operational water treatment sites and environmental facilities.
- Daily exposure includes multiple tanks, pumps, and sampling points within a single plant.
- Without regular sampling and logging, statutory reports cannot be prepared for authorities.
