Core Responsibilities
- Inspect PE and PNG pipeline joints on site using measuring gauges, visual aids, and approved inspection checklists.
- Verify pipe alignment, joint preparation, and fusion quality through现场 inspection records and photographic evidence.
- Review construction drawings, welding logs, and inspection formats before endorsing field inspection sheets.
- Conduct pressure testing verification using calibrated pressure gauges and test charts at installation locations.
- Mark inspected pipeline sections with identification tags and maintain traceability registers.
- Compile inspection reports and submit signed hard copies and scanned files to the engineering office.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- PE pipeline inspection tools, gauges, and joint measurement devices.
- PNG and CGD inspection checklists and site inspection formats.
- Pressure testing equipment and calibrated pressure gauges.
- Engineering drawings, isometric layouts, and inspection records.
- Digital cameras and inspection reporting templates.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out at live city gas distribution sites involving multiple pipeline stretches each day.
- Inspection coverage spans residential, commercial, and industrial PE-PNG installations.
- Without this role, pipeline integrity confirmation halts and commissioning clearance cannot move forward.
