Core Responsibilities
- Perform formulation sampling of pesticide and fertilizer batches using approved batch cards and sampling tools.
- Test raw materials and finished goods using HPLC systems, GC units, and UV spectrophotometers as per specification sheets.
- Record analytical readings in laboratory notebooks, test registers, and controlled analysis formats.
- Prepare standard solutions and reagents through volumetric glassware for routine chemical testing.
- Verify pH, density, and assay values using pH meters, balances, and titration assemblies.
- Label, store, and retain reference samples in stability cupboards with traceability logs.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography systems.
- Gas Chromatography instruments.
- UV-visible spectrophotometers.
- Analytical balances and pH meters.
- Wet chemistry titration methods.
- Agrochemical specification documents.
Experience Context
- Work environment includes formulation plants and quality control laboratories handling agrochemical products.
- Testing volumes involve multiple batches of EC, SC, WG, WP, CS, and ZC formulations.
- Without laboratory testing, non-conforming material reaches packaging and market distribution.
