Core Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings using computer aided design software for solar and renewable energy installations.
- Review technical layouts and generate bill of materials documents for project release.
- Check electrical and structural drawings against approved specifications and design notes.
- Create calculation sheets for load analysis, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
- Update drawing registers and revision logs within document control systems.
- Verify issued drawings on site through marked prints and approved design files.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Computer aided design software such as AutoCAD and similar drafting tools.
- Engineering documents including single line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and layout plans.
- Design calculation sheets for electrical and structural parameters.
- Document control systems used for drawing revisions and approvals.
- Renewable energy system layouts covering solar modules, inverters, and mounting structures.
Experience Context
- Work is performed in corporate engineering offices with regular reference to active project drawings.
- Design volumes may include multiple sites with hundreds of panels and supporting structures.
- Without this role, projects face drawing mismatches, incorrect material orders, and site delays.
