Core Responsibilities
- Inspect photovoltaic modules at power plant sites using handheld insulation testers and visual checklists.
- Measure inverter performance through diagnostic panels and record readings in maintenance logbooks.
- Replace damaged junction boxes, connectors, and fuses using insulated electrical tools.
- Verify string voltage and current values with calibrated multimeters during scheduled site visits.
- Document fault findings on service reports submitted to the central maintenance system.
- Test earthing resistance values using earth testers and maintain compliance records.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Solar photovoltaic modules and grid tied inverter units.
- Digital multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and earth testers.
- Preventive maintenance checklists and service report formats.
- Supervisory control and data acquisition monitoring screens.
- Electrical single line diagrams and wiring layouts.

- Work takes place at operational solar power plants with live electrical equipment.
- Installations include large arrays with hundreds of panels and multiple inverter blocks.
