Core Responsibilities
- Inspect solar plant land using layout drawings, survey markers, and leveling tools to confirm civil readiness before installation work.
- Verify placement of mounting structures, torque values, and alignment using torque wrenches, spirit levels, and approved construction drawings.
- Track daily site progress through physical measurement sheets, bar bending schedules, and material receipt registers.
- Review solar module installation using checklist documents, string layout plans, and serial number mapping sheets.
- Monitor inverter foundations, cable trench routes, and earthing pits using approved general arrangement drawings.
- Record site observations in daily site logs and photographic records aligned with construction documentation.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Solar photovoltaic layout drawings, general arrangement drawings, and structural fabrication drawings.
- Primavera or Microsoft Project software for site schedule tracking.
- Torque wrenches, measuring tapes, spirit levels, and survey instruments.
- Inspection checklists, daily progress reports, and material reconciliation formats.
- Solar modules, mounting structures, string inverters, and cable management systems.
Experience Context
- Work is performed at open solar project sites involving megawatt scale installations spread across large land parcels.
- Daily tasks involve monitoring hundreds of module installations, structural assemblies, and trench sections.
- Absence of this role leads to misaligned structures, incorrect installations, and untracked site progress.
