Core Responsibilities
- Calibrate pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and flow meters using certified calibration kits.
- Inspect control panels, junction boxes, and field cabling inside the production plant.
- Record instrument readings and calibration values in approved instrumentation logbooks.
- Test control valves, actuators, and signal loops using loop checking documents.
- Replace faulty sensors, transmitters, and control cards on plant mounted equipment.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Pressure gauges, temperature elements, and electromagnetic flow meters.
- Programmable logic controllers and distributed control system panels.
- Calibration certificates, loop diagrams, and wiring drawings.
- Multimeters, calibrators, and signal generators.
- Plant instrumentation maintenance registers.
Experience Context
- Work performed inside a running chemical manufacturing plant with continuous and batch units.
- Daily interaction with field instruments installed across reactors, pipelines, and utility headers.
- Without this role, plant instruments drift beyond limits causing unstable plant readings and unsafe conditions.
