Core Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical drawings using computer aided design software for extrusion machinery components.
- Prepare bill of materials documents linked with approved engineering drawings for manufacturing release.
- Develop assembly drawings and part layouts for gearboxes, screw barrels, frames, and auxiliary units.
- Review dimensional tolerances on drawings using standard measurement references and design manuals.
- Issue controlled drawing revisions through document control records and drawing release notes.
- Support prototype fabrication by clarifying drawing dimensions and material specifications.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- AutoCAD software for two dimensional mechanical drafting.
- SolidWorks software for three dimensional part and assembly modeling.
- Engineering drawings including general arrangement and detail drawings.
- Bill of materials sheets and part numbering systems.
- Mechanical design standards and machine component catalogs.
Experience Context
- Work takes place in an engineering design office supporting a manufacturing plant environment.
- Design output directly impacts machining, fabrication, and assembly of large industrial equipment.
- Multiple machine models and customized orders are handled simultaneously.
