Core Responsibilities
- Operate forging presses and handling equipment following approved machine settings.
- Load raw billets into furnaces and monitor heating cycles using temperature displays.
- Transfer heated billets to forging dies with tongs and material handling tools.
- Observe formed components and place them on cooling beds as per shop instructions.
- Record daily production quantities on shift production sheets.
- Clean workstations and arrange finished forgings in designated pallets.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Forging presses, furnaces, and trimming machines.
- Temperature indicators and furnace control panels.
- Production shift logs and output recording sheets.
- Material handling tools, pallets, and tongs.
- Approved work instructions and machine setting sheets.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out on the plant floor with continuous machine running conditions.
- The role supports production of multiple forged components across daily shifts.
- Without this role, billet heating and forging flow may stop causing machine idle time.
- Steady manpower ensures production targets are maintained safely.
