Core Responsibilities
- Perform water sampling and microbiological testing using membrane filtration units, incubators, and calibrated culture media.
- Carry out environmental monitoring inside classified areas using settle plates, contact plates, and air sampling devices.
- Inspect cleanroom surfaces, equipment contact areas, and processing zones following written microbiology protocols.
- Prepare and review analytical records including test worksheets, logbooks, and microbiology result reports.
- Support validation studies by conducting microbial analysis during media fill, stability, and qualification batches.
- Maintain microbiology laboratory readiness through routine cleaning, reagent preparation, and equipment status checks.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Membrane filtration systems, laminar airflow benches, and biological safety cabinets.
- Microbiological media preparation, sterilization techniques, and incubation practices.
- Environmental monitoring tools including air samplers, settle plates, and surface contact plates.
- Documentation systems such as SOP, STP, specifications, and microbiology test records.
- Quality systems records including change control forms, investigation reports, and CAPA documents.
Experience Context
- Work is performed inside a pharmaceutical quality control microbiology laboratory supporting formulation production blocks.
- Daily involvement includes testing multiple water and environmental samples linked to routine manufacturing schedules.
- Absence of this role directly impacts cleanroom compliance, batch release timelines, and regulatory inspection readiness.
