Core Responsibilities
- Mark building layout lines and levels on site using total station instruments and approved layout drawings.
- Inspect civil structure work including footing columns slabs and roads against issued construction drawings.
- Record daily site measurements in measurement books covering concrete masonry and earthwork quantities.
- Prepare contractor running bills using measurement books and agreed rate schedules.
- Check material consumption registers for cement steel aggregates and finishing materials at site stores.
- Verify site safety and quality checklists before pouring concrete and closing structural stages.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- AutoCAD drawings for civil layouts sections and structural details.
- Total station and leveling instruments used for site setting out.
- Measurement books bar bending schedules and rate analysis sheets.
- Concrete testing methods including slump test and cube sampling.
- Quality inspection checklists and safety compliance documents.
Experience Context
- Work takes place at active plotted development sites with multiple blocks roads and utility corridors.
- Projects involve large land parcels with continuous excavation concreting and finishing cycles.
- Without this role construction sequencing becomes misaligned and billing disputes increase.
