Core Responsibilities
- Operate DCS panels to control reactor charging, temperature profiles, and agitation parameters during API manufacturing batches.
- Record batch-wise readings in batch manufacturing records using approved production logbooks.
- Handle charging and discharging of raw materials using pumps, valves, and transfer lines connected to process vessels.
- Monitor drying cycles on centrifuges, tray dryers, and vacuum dryers through control systems and manual gauges.
- Perform equipment cleaning and line clearance using cleaning checklists and equipment status labels.
- Document yield calculations, material consumption, and batch completion details in production documentation.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Distributed Control System panels used in continuous API plants.
- Reactors, centrifuges, vacuum dryers, and filtration units.
- Batch Manufacturing Records and production logbooks.
- Standard Operating Procedures for API production.
- Material Safety Data Sheets for active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Experience Context
- Work is performed inside API manufacturing plants operating continuous and DCS-controlled systems.
- Production runs involve multi-step batches handled across reactors and downstream equipment.
- Without this role, batch documentation, equipment handling, and material tracking remain incomplete.
