Core Responsibilities
- Check brickwork, shuttering, and reinforcement placement on site using measuring tape, plumb bob, and level tube.
- Verify concrete pouring areas by inspecting formwork alignment and marking pour zones on drawings.
- Record daily site progress in site registers with quantities, manpower count, and material movement.
- Inspect incoming construction materials against delivery challans and approved sample references.
- Monitor curing practices by scheduling water application and maintaining curing logs.
- Identify unsafe site conditions during work hours and mark barricading locations using safety tapes.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Site drawings, bar bending schedules, and construction checklists.
- Measuring tape, dumpy level, spirit level, and line dori.
- Concrete mixers, vibrators, and basic site machinery.
- Site registers, daily progress reports, and material challans.
- Personal protective equipment and safety signage.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out on active construction sites with ongoing structural and finishing stages.
- Project scale may involve multi-floor buildings with multiple trade teams working simultaneously.
- Without this role, alignment checks, material tracking, and daily site records remain incomplete.
