Core Responsibilities
- Inspect reinforced concrete and structural steel work at construction zones using approved drawings, bar bending schedules, and site layout plans.
- Verify line, level, and alignment on foundations and superstructures using total station instruments, auto levels, and measuring tapes.
- Review contractor bills, measurement books, and material reconciliation statements against actual site quantities.
- Monitor concreting work by checking mix designs, slump values, shuttering stability, and curing methods at site locations.
- Record daily site progress in construction logs, photographic records, and milestone tracking formats.
- Check compliance of civil works with approved GFC drawings, specifications, and statutory construction documents.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- AutoCAD drawings, Good for Construction drawings, and civil layout plans.
- Total station survey instruments, dumpy levels, and digital measuring tools.
- Concrete mix design reports, cube test records, and material test certificates.
- Bar bending schedules, quantity take-off sheets, and BOQ documents.
- MS Project schedules and standard construction reporting formats.
Experience Context
- Work environment involves continuous presence at active industrial construction sites with simultaneous civil packages.
- Project scale includes heavy foundations, industrial buildings, equipment pedestals, and utility structures.
- Without this role, dimensional control, quality verification, and construction documentation gaps directly impact project timelines.
