Core Responsibilities
- Perform chromatographic testing on finished samples using high performance liquid chromatography instruments.
- Carry out calibration checks on analytical balances and chromatography systems with approved calibration records.
- Prepare sample solutions and reference standards inside a controlled laboratory using volumetric glassware.
- Record chromatograms, spectra, and numerical results in laboratory notebooks and controlled data sheets.
- Conduct ultraviolet and Fourier transform infrared analysis on raw materials using bench top instruments.
- Store tested samples and retained materials in designated laboratory storage units with proper labeling.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- High performance liquid chromatography systems and related software platforms.
- Ultraviolet visible spectrophotometers for quantitative analysis.
- Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy instruments.
- Gas chromatography systems for chemical analysis.
- Empower and Chromeleon chromatography software.
- Laboratory notebooks and controlled analytical worksheets.
Experience Context
- Work is performed in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory handling routine and stability samples.
- Daily volume includes multiple batches and repeated instrument runs across working shifts.
- Without this role, analytical testing backlogs increase and material release timelines are delayed.
