Company Introduction
MTAR Technologies develops precision engineered components and assemblies for complex industrial and advanced manufacturing applications.
Core Responsibilities
- Inspect machined components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges on the shop floor.
- Review engineering drawings and compare physical dimensions against specified tolerances documented on drawing sheets.
- Record dimensional readings in inspection reports and maintain hard copy quality records for each inspected batch.
- Perform surface finish checks using roughness testers and document measured values in inspection logs.
- Verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing features using gauges, fixtures, and reference blocks.
- Tag accepted and rejected components physically and segregate material based on inspection status.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
- Surface roughness testers and profile measuring instruments.
- Engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Inspection reports, measurement sheets, and nonconformance notes.
- Coordinate measuring machine exposure where applicable.
Experience Context
- Work takes place inside a precision manufacturing shop handling aerospace grade and high tolerance components.
- Daily scale involves inspection of multiple machined parts across varied dimensions and tolerance ranges.
- Without this role, nonconforming components reach assembly stages causing rework and production stoppages.
