Core Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical assemblies such as pumps motors and gear units using hand tools and maintenance checklists.
- Repair electrical panels wiring circuits and switches with multimeters insulation testers and wiring diagrams.
- Record preventive maintenance details in equipment history cards and maintenance logbooks.
- Replace worn bearings seals belts and couplings on production and utility equipment.
- Verify safety interlocks alarms and emergency stops through physical testing on installed machines.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Mechanical hand tools torque wrenches and alignment gauges.
- Electrical measuring instruments such as multimeters and clamp meters.
- Maintenance documentation including standard operating procedures and equipment manuals.
- Plant utilities equipment drawings and electrical schematics.
- Computer based maintenance record systems.
Experience Context
- Work performed inside a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant with running production lines.
- Exposure to multiple machines supporting batch based injectable production.
- Absence of this role leads to equipment stoppage and unsafe operating conditions.
