Core Responsibilities
- Carry out multi step chemical synthesis of small molecules using laboratory glassware, heating mantles, and inert atmosphere setups.
- Prepare reaction mixtures by weighing raw materials on analytical balances and transferring solvents using calibrated measuring equipment.
- Purify synthesized compounds through column chromatography systems and preparative purification assemblies.
- Generate analytical samples and submit them for evaluation using high performance liquid chromatography, liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, and nuclear magnetic resonance instruments.
- Record experimental observations, reaction parameters, and yield data in electronic laboratory notebook systems.
- Store intermediates and final compounds in labeled containers within controlled laboratory storage units.
