Core Responsibilities
- Carry out plant-level system audits using IATF 16949 checklists, audit schedules, and evidence logs across machining and assembly lines.
- Review PFMEA sheets, control plans, and inspection records to confirm risk coverage against defined manufacturing stages.
- Verify closure of non-conformance reports through document trails, photographic proof, and revision-controlled records.
- Assess fixture layouts, gauges, checkers, and child part approvals during new product introductions at plant locations.
- Examine SPC charts, MSA studies, and trend reports to validate stability of critical quality characteristics.
- Visit shop-floor Gemba areas to cross-check complaint data against containment reports and corrective records.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 documentation sets.
- PFMEA, Control Plan, and APQP document packs.
- SPC software charts and MSA calculation formats.
- Mechanical gauges, fixtures, and inspection checkers.
- Audit checklists, NCR formats, and closure trackers.
Experience Context
- Work exposure within automotive manufacturing plants handling serial production and launch-phase components.
- Interaction with multiple production lines where unchecked risks can cause batch rejections or customer complaints.
- Hands-on involvement in audit cycles where missed evidence leads to certification risks.
