Core Responsibilities
- Inspect road formation levels using total stations, leveling instruments, and approved layout drawings.
- Supervise laying of storm water drains, sewer lines, and water supply pipelines using trenching tools and alignment markers.
- Check reinforcement placement and shuttering dimensions for RCC works against issued structural drawings.
- Monitor asphalt paving, kerb stone fixing, and footpath works using thickness gauges and compaction records.
- Verify utility corridor installations for electrical, water, and sewer networks using approved coordination drawings.
- Maintain daily site measurement books, material consumption sheets, and progress photographs.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Total station instruments, auto levels, and measuring tapes.
- RCC drawings, infrastructure layout plans, and GFC drawings.
- Concrete batching methods, asphalt laying techniques, and drainage construction practices.
- Measurement books, bar bending schedules, and material reconciliation sheets.
- Local authority approval drawings and township utility plans.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out at active township construction sites with parallel infrastructure and residential development.
- Daily tasks involve multiple road stretches, underground utility lines, and RCC structures across large land parcels.
- Absence of site-level engineering control can result in misaligned services, rework, and delayed handover.
