Core Responsibilities
- Run extrusion lines using 150 mm and 120 mm extruder machines to form insulated cable layers.
- Handle stranding machines fitted with 61-bobbin and 67-bobbin assemblies to build conductor cores.
- Operate laying machines to assemble multi-core cables according to approved layouts.
- Feed armouring lines with 48-bobbin systems to apply mechanical protection layers.
- Control RBD and skip machines to manage material transfer during cable manufacturing stages.
- Record shift-wise machine readings in production log sheets.
Skills & Technical Exposure
- Extrusion machines with temperature and speed control panels.
- Stranding frames and bobbin loading tools.
- Laying machines and core alignment gauges.
- Armouring units with wire tension controls.
- Production log books and batch cards.
Experience Context
- Work is carried out on a continuous cable manufacturing shop floor.
- Production involves long-length cable runs across multiple synchronized machines.
- Without this role, cable lines stop, causing material waste and idle equipment.
