Core Responsibilities
- Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports using equipment logbooks, calibration sheets, and mechanical maintenance records.
- Plan preventive maintenance schedules through maintenance planners, lubrication charts, and equipment service manuals.
- Attend mechanical breakdowns on reactors, pumps, compressors, and utility systems using hand tools and diagnostic gauges.
- Maintain ISO 9001 documentation including maintenance registers, change control forms, and equipment history cards.
- Verify compliance records for FDA, OSHA, and ISO inspections through checklist documents and audit files.
- Support internal and external audits by presenting maintenance data, validation documents, and equipment qualification files.
Skills and Technical Exposure
- Exposure to centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance software and maintenance scheduling systems.
- Use of mechanical measuring instruments including vernier calipers, dial gauges, and pressure gauges.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation, equipment qualification files, and audit checklists.
- Handling of utility systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and compressed air lines.
Experience Context
- Work performed within an active pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing plant handling continuous production equipment.
- Role supports maintenance coverage across multiple machines, utilities, and supporting systems running in parallel.
- Absence of this role can lead to equipment downtime, delayed batches, and noncompliance observations.
